Things You Need to Know!

Students have to be registered on-line and 2 proofs of residency provided.

The school day begins at 7:30 a.m. (During homeroom: roll is taken, lunch ordered, notes are turned in, and students go to breakfast). For safety concerns, students are not allowed on campus before 7:30 a.m. Students who arrive on campus after 7:43 need to be checked in at the office -- don't PARK and let students walk to class.

STUDENTS WHO ARE TO GO ANYWHERE BUT HOME, NEED TO TURN IN A NOTE TO THE OFFICE BY 12:00 P.M. WITH CONTACT INFORMATION (NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED).

Car riders will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. If you are not here to pick your child up, HE/SHE WILL BE PUT ON THE BUS. Parents, make sure someone is home when the bus drops your child off.

If you need to schedule a conference or bring goodies for your child's birthday, the office must have a 24 hour notice. When you check your child out, come to the office; do not go to the classroom. Student must be signed out by a parent or designated adult. Students will not be allowed to check out the last 30 minutes of the day unless it is an emergency or medical appointment.

Students are allowed 12 absences, this includes excused and unexcused. Medical excuses do not count against this number. PLEASE read the handbook on attendance policies so there will be no misunderstandings if you receive a call from the Truancy Officer. Excuses should be turned in within (2 days) of the student's return to school. ANY EXCUSE PRESENTED AFTER THE ALLOWED 2 DAYS MUST BE TURNED IN TO OFFICE FOR CONSIDERATION.

In order to provide the safest environment possible for your child, please provide the office with documentation if there are any custody issues with your child/children.

Thank you, Baxterville School
